Mark, a founding member of the R&D Center, brings over a decade of compassionate clinical experience to his work, guiding individuals on their unique paths to recovery. His dedication stems from a deep understanding of the challenges involved, fueled by both professional expertise and personal experience. Mark earned his B.S. in Psychology from Temple University, providing a sturdy foundation for his subsequent master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University. He began his career at Crozer Hospital's First Steps Treatment Center, where he served as a primary therapist in the acute care unit, gaining invaluable experience in crisis intervention and stabilization. He then transitioned to a primary therapist role at a nationally recognized inpatient treatment center in Devon, PA. There, Mark quickly distinguished himself not only through his passionate dedication to patient care but also through his leadership abilities and talent for developing effective, targeted treatment programs. These skills led to rapid promotions, first to Clinical Coordinator and then to Clinical Supervisor, where he oversaw teams of therapists and ensured the delivery of high-quality care. Mark's personal journey of recovery deeply informs his approach to collaborating with clients. He believes that recovery is not just about abstaining from substances but about building a fulfilling and meaningful life. He places a strong emphasis on goal setting, empowering clients to define their own vision of recovery. He also prioritizes health and wellness, recognizing the interconnectedness of physical and mental well-being in the recovery process. Most importantly, Mark encourages his clients to rediscover joy and embrace the possibilities of a life free from addiction. Beyond his professional life, Mark is a devoted husband and father of three. He actively engages in his community by coaching baseball and enjoys pursuing his personal passion for snowboarding and fishing. These activities provide balance and rejuvenation, allowing him to bring renewed energy and focus on his work with clients.
